This year the Owl Creek Chase is back in full effect!  We will begin with a mass start at 9:00am from the Snowmass Club Golf Course near Town Park Station in Snowmass.  Parking is only allowed at the Aspen Nordic Center.  Shuttles will be provided from the Aspen Nordic Center to the Town Park Station in Snowmass as early as 7:00am.  You will pick up your bib/chip from the Town Park Station on the morning of the race then strap up and walk or ski (depending on snow) under the pedestrian tunnel to the start on the Snowmass Club Golf Course.  Classic or skate skiing is available.  The course is groomed for both.

The Owl Creek Chase will be scored in an “Enduro” format with three timed sections defined in the 20.3 km course.  You will be timed and ranked in each of these sections consisting of two major climbs and a 1.6km finish sprint.  There will not be any aid stations for this race.  Town Park Station offers a water filling station and bathrooms.  Awards will be given for the best combined time of the three segments with special prizes for individual segment winners. Tactics and endurance will all be challenged in this exciting new format!

Registration is $30 for all participants and includes bib, chip, t-shirt and soup & sandwich lunch at Red Mountain Grill.  We recommend leaving any backpacks or gear at the Aspen Nordic Center however there will be a gear transfer from Town Park Station in Snowmass to the finish at the Aspen Nordic Center.  Turn in your bib/chip for a free lunch served from 10:30am-12:30pm at Red Mountain Grill.  The Owl Creek Chase event will conclude at 12:30pm.  You are not required to race the timed segments and touring is allowed however you didn’t get all dressed up for nothing!
