MOUNTAIN DAYS-THE STORY OF JOHN MUIR

Opened with the California Symphony and a cast of 60. Because of its success, the city of Martinez, CA undertook to build an amphitheater so that this show could be an annual summer event. The passionate, turbulent, glorious life of John Muir is told on stage, with an emphasis on music, from his youth in Scotland and Wisconsin, to his famous 1,000 mile walk down the Eastern seaboard, to his arrival at the bustling wharfs of San Francisco in 1868, to his travels in Yosemite and his persistent efforts to protect Yosemite and the glorious Hetch Hetchy Valley from destruction.

Music by Craig Bohmler, Book and Lyrics by Mary Bracken Phillips

GUNMETAL BLUES

The recipient of both an ASCAP award, and a Dramatist’s Guild Award, it was workshopped at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center & Stratford Festival.  Since its premiere, it has had over 300 production across the US and Canada.

Gunmetal Blues is a hard-boiled detective tale disguised as a lounge act – or the other way around? A private eye searches for a missing blonde through a double-dealing world of smoky bars and rain-slicked streets, luring the audience to an unnamed city of mystery, music, and demolished dreams.

Craig Bohmler-Music , Scott Wentworth-book, Marion Adler-lyrics
